live laugh love

Hi everyone so this week was kinda crazy! I call this one live laugh love because this week was stressful and I kept saying live laugh love ironically to cope.

Anyways! So this week started off really good with our trip to the railroad museum last pday. Then we had our last district council for the transfer and it was actually really good and the picture we took looks like it came out of a family reunion. Then that night we helped bleach Sister Estes' hair. I have never dyed my hair and I don't have any experience dyeing or bleaching anyone else's hair but I somehow managed to not mess up and it turned out okay! It was a party for sure!

So then on Friday we did exchanges and I went with Sister Burtch and she came to the spanish area with me and that was a really fun day and I finally got to drive! That was a really good day!

Then this other really crazy thing happened! Sooo on Saturday mi compañera, who was the driver this transfer, and I forgot to check the gas and didn't realize how low on gas we were. Then Sunday morning the gas light turned on the minute we got to the car. We only had 30 miles left on the car and we had a lot of places to go so we were cutting it close. We decided to only drive a few places that were close to us like church, our lesson, our member dinner, back to church, and back to the apartment. We should not have been able to drive to all those places but somehow God allowed us to! It was wild! I've never sung so many hymns and prayed so much in a day. Just kidding. So then we had to park far away but it was ok because then we had enough gas to drive to the gas station the next morning.

So then we put José Alfredo on date to be baptized on July 2 (!!) So that was really neat! We've been teaching him for a little bit and he came to church on Sunday with one of our members who's the same age and from the same country as him and they immediately hit it off! It was awesome! All the members talked to him and were so welcoming and he loved it! So then after church that day we had a lesson with him and we taught him about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was so cool because he was taking it seriously and making sure he actually was going to remember what we taught him! Then during the lesson, one of his friends that lives with him came home with his family and his wife joined the lesson and told us she had vision (??) Idk that was really weird. Anyways we finished the lesson and it was really good! Afterwards we talked to Jose just by himself and he said he would come to church again with this same member that he went with. Then he asked if he could be baptized! At first we couldn't believe he was asking us that and it might've been because understanding spanish is still a struggle or if he actually really wanted to be baptized. That was crazy though!

Also yesterday was pretty wild! So like we had a lesson with Rosefina and unfortunately she isn't remembering enough things and isn't accountable enough to progress towards baptism :( We will still visit her and read with her for language study because she loves meeting with us but it's still sad.

So then we went to chickfila with the STLS and that was super fun! Then we did weekly planning and some other things. Then we dropped of Hermana Paxman and now I am in a trio with Sister Burtch and Sister Estes until tomorrow. It was so sad! I'm going to miss her so much!

So then we also got transfer calls last night! I'm staying in rancho cordova for another transfer so I am super hyped about that!!! My new companion is Hermana Schofield and she sounds nice so that's really exciting! I also finally get to be the driver!

Anyways I hope you all have an amazing week and I will update you all soon! Love you all!!
