potatoes, papas, and the pope
Hey everyone! So basically these past couple weeks have been kinda crazy! I don't really have a ton of time to write this email so I'm probably going to forget to include things pero está bien!
Also for those of y'all who might be confused why I keep using y'all we have this weird rule in my mission where we have to be like dignified and we can't say "you guys" but for some reason saying y'all is okay. My missions weird but it's okay it's a fun time. I actually love all the other missionaries and the area I'm in is so cool! I love being in rancho cordova! It is a really neat area!
So I named the email this name because we talked to this man who started going off and was really passionate about the pope and how he was all like live, laugh, love and that was crazy! This was like all in spanish too and for those of y'all who don't speak spanish the word for pope is papa. Ok but papa also means dad and potato. So there you go!
Speaking of dads, shout out to my dad! He is so amazing and I'm so grateful for him! I'm so lucky to have him in my life!
I'm also so grateful for my mom! Mothers day was such a good day! It was so nice to talk to my family! I love my mom so much and she's so amazing! She has helped me through so many things and she is such an amazing example to me! Anyways shout out to all the moms because yall are doing amazing!!
ANYWAYS so then we had zone conference. There was this really cool video they showed with all the miracles everyone in the mission sent in and it made me realize that i can do this whole mission thing! We also talked about the atonement and the strengthening and enabling power of it and that was really cool! Christ can really strengthen us in all things!
Then we had this really cool devotional with the whole mission up at the temple and it was so good! It was really amazing to see everyone and to be on the temple grounds! It was one of my favorite parts of this week tbh!
So then we went to a railroad museum earlier today and that was pretty cool! It made us really grateful that we live in the time we do and we don't have to drive trains every where because that would just not be it. As my compañera said, "missions are hard but at least im not building a railroad!" It was a really neat museum tho! We also got boba and that is always really good! It was a good pday!
So basically those are the main things that have happened these past couple weeks! Missions go by so fast and I can't believe this transfer is almost over! My companion is going to her original assignment assignment Spain next week and I'm so excited for her but at the same time its really sad and I'm gonna miss her so much!! Anyways I'll keep you all updated on what happens with transfers and more of my silly little adventures this week! I love and miss you all! As always feel free to reach out and shoot me an email! Have an amazing week everyone!
